Royal Ascot

Royal Ascot has long been synonymous with sartorial elegance. This concept is upheld by the Royal Ascot dress code, this special event in the social calendar allows guests to contribute to an occasion heralded as a major fashion event in its own right. The hosts of this event have put together a guide as to what to wear to the Royal Meeting which takes place between Tuesday 16th and Saturday 20th June 2015.

The Royal Enclosure

Dresses and skirts should be of modest length, falling just above the knee or longer.

Dresses or tops should have straps of 1 inch or greater.

Jackets and Pashmenas may be worn.

Hats should be worn; Headpieces must have a base of 4 inches (10cm) or more in diameter.

Gentlemen are kindly reminded that they are required to wear either black or grey morning dress, a black or grey top hat and black shoes

Grandstand

A hat, headpiece or fascinator should be worn at all times.

Gentlemen are required to wear a suit with a shirt and tie.

Strapless or sheer strap dresses and tops are not permitted.

Trousers must be full length.
